All opinions are helpful but this is a song that was written
to touch women, you know.[/b]

Well you nailed that one, Im not really the person to comment on country, but I do occasionally listen on x-m and to me this would fit on a country station on there, not sure if it would be what they call modern or more traditional, but I could hear that on the radio.

As I said good job, I saw that was u on guitar, that was great too, maybe one day you could give me acoustic lessons.

Anyway thats an A+ in my book, regardless of genre

Klugmo,

First...I think you probably have the best range of voice I have ever hear on the BM site... Outstanding! Additionally, The song, is properly balanced (Structure) with very clean acoustic guitar work. Very Impressive.
I believe that the lyrics will nab the women and pin them down ;)

Now... There is a slight mush factor, which most woman will gladly tolerate. But if you really want to get them to embrace this cuddly song, here is some suggestions: .

I noticed on the vocal, you have a "Hall" or "Arena" ambiance in the signal. Consider the following: Women are orientated toward warmth and intimacy. Hall /Arena lend to cold and separation. If that's true, then I would warm up the vocal, by removing the Hall/arena effect, and maybe just add a 'smidgen' of reverb for presence of the vocal.

Normally, Vocals get recorded L and then re-recorded R to bring in a full body to the vocal track. In this case, I think a single track is probably sufficient, because it narrows the vocal more precisely without blasting the delicate ears of female listeners.

The guitar work stands well as is. (All settings included) Just remember, when Reverb, is used sparingly, it can really bring about proper depth between instruments and also give exclusive presence at the same time.)

Any whoo...dems my advicces

Thanks dog, actually this is just recorded simply. This is what I would bring
to the studio to be formally recorded. This version is quite
different from a fully recorded version that would have full instrumentation
with different arrangement ideas in it. I would sit down with the guitar player I use
and mind meld a final version with him including ideas from us both.
My writing processes include levels of development to finally end up
with versions like are on my profile. Even then those are in my opinion
just good demos.[/b]

Hello, I'm Jeanette , George's wife, I like the song and the lyrics are good, the simple recording does it no justice, it would sound better with full band accompaniment . Definitely a beer drinking, cheating country song.

to me its all about the song production is not as important . so I'd say youve got a winner & if you can play it & sing it like it was recorded youve also got a lot of talent ( like I say all the time production cant help a bad song but a good song is a good song regardless of production ) I like the minimalist thing !

You are right edge and I think that sometimes when people hear a song
for the first time and like it. That version will be the only version that
satisfies them. This song hopefully when developed will take on a
different effect on the listener.[/b]
