Hey friends, times are hard the future is uncertain! My question to YOU "is do you feel alive" As SOME of you know I took a break from this site for a while. during this time I did some SOUL SEARCHING!
This site allows you to say pretty much whatever you feel! I have learned that sometimes you (or I) should probably keep our YAPS "piehole's" shut!
I have said many things to some of you folks here on this site that I am not PROUD OF! Being the passionate dumba$$ I am. I tend to let myself get caught up in the usual topics of the day!
What I am trying to say is I have discovered how short life is and also NO ONE IS PERFECT! I am a perfectionist and I should understand other folks may not be, although some of the things I have come to admire about some of you is Life is not perfect and that is Okay!

What do ya'll think? Hey It's okay to be HONEST.

Ha ha! I said stuff I ought not to have said... So lately, I realize this and have been rescinding things I said.. (Self Censorship)... One cool thing about Band Mix forums is that you can pull your own posts, so to speak...

About Perfection...Some anecdotes To share:

1) I spent my life searching for the perfect woman...I finally found her...but I couldn't have her. I discovered she was searching for the perfect man...

2) Progress...Not perfection.

3) PLato's assertion on Master Forms: "We are but poor copies..."

You are correct about the discretion we exercise (or not) in saying what we feel...

In the glory of God...all things can be good, (but not all things are necessarily wise).

This includes indiscriminate practice of free speech. I have the right to say what I please... But knowing that words can be hurtful...should I exercise that right at every turn, when I am angry or passionate?

Personally, My biggest challenge has been my tongue... I made many people, whom I loved..cry, or dismiss our friendship... I now make a conscious effort now, to hold it...or correct it...

Aside from that... I love a damn good debate... And what I like about these forums is that I can say anything and not get bounced. So I'm certain if I act responsible..I have basically free reign of dialogue here...And that keeps it alive for me..

Imperfection is a beautiful thing, especially in music. Perfection is cold, antiseptic. Humans are far from perfect, at least the last time I checked...

It's easy to slip into mundane routines that numb the life in you. That's why it's important to get away from your regular life as often as you can to really "feel alive". Days, weeks, months and years pass quickly when you don't have this.

Do I feel alive ? F*#kin A right , I feel alive.

And I'm at war, in more ways than one.


On days like this where I'm swimming up stream in a river of sh*t and I see first hand how the MAN don't give a f**k about you or I.

Personally, I am alive...I feel extremely blessed to be where I am in my life as a musician and my brothers and sisters that I have met here are very much a part of that. I have met two BandMix buds here and it has been so much fun. I look forward to metting all of you in due time.

The first Assault on Precinct 13 (John Carpenter movie) has a classic line that describes me perfectly:

A cop is telling this prisoner, "you seem like a reasonable guy, fairly intelligent..." The prisoner interrupts him: "But I am an asshole. You can't take that away from me."

I try to improve but as St. Paul put it, "That which I wish to do, I don't do. That which I would not do - that I do...Who will save me from this?"

I'm in the first healthy and successful relationship of my life. My wife and I have gotten along great and passed through many hard times with our affection intact. One of the main keys to this success is something that I believe extends to all relationships including bands and yes, even the intrawebz.
