Greed is everywhere, IMO anyone that thinks they can stop it is kidding themselves. Greed has inspired FORTUNES that provide a lot of folks with jobs. I suppose we could all set around a campfire with our acoustics smokin a joint singing Cumbiya! Thats not the way the world works folks! Its a Cruel Cruel universe where the strong survive. I don't like greed but I know I can't stop it. Its a fact of life. I am not greedy I wish I were my life would probably have been a lot simpler. In a way there are certain folks I know that are greedy that have qualities that I admire.
I think a certain amount of the brainwashed public thinks that greed is the cause of ALL of their Problems. In the words of the great Herman Cain "if you are not rich you have no one to blame but yourself"!

Exxon/Mobile employes A LOT of people all over the world. I have a very good friend that is an engineer for them. They Have share holders they have to report to, the share holders are Exxon/Mobiles BOSSES!

What gets me is this new movement believes that it is a BAD thing for company's to make a profit and everything should be FREE! IMO if everybody sets around on there butts getting everything for free what is going to be the incentive for the rest of us to get up go to work and pay taxes! Then where in the heck is the gubment going to get there revenue?

Nobody said FREE, just a little wide spread control on critical markets.

Why is everyone so concerned about how much other people make? There will always be richer-than-you people in the world. The more the government regulates, the more difficult it is to run a business, and YOUR class mobility decreases - not those who are rich.

So one day, A feller comes up with a brilliant business idea... Shortly after, he earns 500K in his 1st year. He figures out a way to squeeze 100k more out of his cost, So, year 2 he earns 600K. STOP! What he earns and what he gets to keep... hmmmm...

Lets revisit that: He figures out that the Govt is taxing him 30 percent of his 500K... So to offset that , he figures out a way to shave off the burden, by 'downgrading his processes /innovations such that he can expense out 100k. In the end, He still walks away with less than he earns, AND he has sabotaged the quality of his business or service. Thanks Uncle SAM!

It aint over... He now finds a way to loophole... The first step is to become a corp. Then he further streamlines his processes, to meet the corp Tax loopholes. Now he must outsource to a foreign company to reduce more costs, so as to avoid more tax burdens... At the end of the day, we now have a company who produces crap, in volume... and When the market has had enough (saturated with crap), the corp goes belly up and declares bankruptcy.

My whole point is that Greed is not the issue here...Trying to defeat the Govt burden, is.

This is precisely why we need to down size the government. Congress should be fired for 10 years and the president should just go play golf somewhere until business get back on their feet.

The Problem is Klug once you give the gubment a little control they ALWAYS WANT MORE! Thats why us consevatives call it the slippery slope! Myself I don't trust the government. A certain party has lead (brainwashed) folks into thinking they know better how to spend YOUR money than YOU do! Folks are niave enough to believe it!
The majority of Exxon Mobiles profits were made oversea's! Do you know why? Its because government regulation has pushed them into oversea's markets taking our jobs with them. Like it or not this country is competeing in a world market that doesn't give a rats butt about GOING GREEN or workers rights! Do you folks REALLY BELIEVE that if you tax rich people more they are gonna just pay it and go on with their lives the way they have been? Rich folks are GREEDY They are going to get theirs if they have to move their buisinesses oversea's or lay off a lot of folks to do it! They don't give a DAMN! I care DEEPLY about this country and its future! If you really want to grow the economy get the hell out of the way of the folks that will do it! By get out of the way I mean let Americans compete fairly in a world market. Stop the rediculous regulation. Let the American way work the way it always has! Unfortunately some folks are going to be treated unfairly in the process but it is what has made this country what it is today!

There are problems with every aspect of this.
One thing I do know though. Votes mean control and if just half the population would vote then the Gov. would start to reflect the peoples
wishes instead of the corporate wishes.

You are so right Klug. When it boils down to it there are TWO ENTITIES running this country THE NEWS MEDIA and CORPORATIONS and its in just that order IMO!

Well I got to go play Rancher with that calf and get some practice time in because we got a gig tomorrow night at The Texas Salloon we are going to use the new lights I am excited!

& good luck w the calf . the edge practiced on the singers farm & a couple of times i got to practice before she got home saw the cows were out & had to turn my truck sideways in the lane to keep them in the farm yard( 100 yrs old blood line very docile herfords )
