I will never understand why mankind wants to continually reinvent law order and justice.
We were given the perfect blue print for how to conduct not only our personal lives ( The Ten Commandments ) but also how government should function / social justice in the Mosaic Laws.

No we are doomed to squirm in the mire of our own " intelligence " until the end of our days.

My sister saysa today we go by the
New Testament but what about
the 5 books of Moses
these were God's words while he was on the earth
I don't understand why we don't incorporate this
into our religion not just the ten commandments

"All scripture is for reproof and correction" and "Scripture is written as an example for us" <-- loose translation.

When those instructions were given to the church, there was no New Testament. Perhaps you could point that out to your sister.

Yes Mike, I may be splitting hairs and there will be many that disagree, but,,,,
a state of disorder due to absence or nonrecognition of authority. The biggest point being the nonrecognition of authority which in this country comes from the people, not the government.

More and more the people (the true authority) are being told to sit down and shut up. This is arrogant government creating disorder due to the absence and nonrecognition of the true authority that put them in power to begin with.

I think that you are one of the few people smart enough to understand this pretzel logic. It may be in reverse but never the less it is anarchy.

And there is no reason why we have to choose either of those outcomes, but some of the most oppressive governments of history were installed to end anarchy...and some of the worst examples of anarchy happened because of oppressive government.

I can't think of any example where anarchy led to anything but fascism.

We should avoid both extremes and simply let the Constitution do it's job of balancing the politicians against each other. Fascism is never a good answer, no matter what the question is.

Amen. Except I don't know if I would call it fascism by definition. I would call it single rule by extremely centralized government.

Our founding fathers were as diligent as possible and left us with a severe challenge to avoid an all powerful central government.

Yes we need one organization to oversee national security, national treasures such as mining rights, use of air space and air waves, and many, many more complicated issues that can raise disputes between regions and states.

However, more and more we are seeing a central government taking control of states prerogatives, and even worse an individuals prerogatives. The list from health care mandates to education mandates is growing fast. This is control of the many through taxation, and mandate. This is exactly the government we were warned about.

Laugh, point a gun at your foot, pull the trigger to see what happens, well we all just found out,,,, we just shot ourselves in the foot.

It's really easy to understand the reason why the government especially the progressive left wants to reinvent law, order and justice. I assume your response was rhetorical but I had to chime in.

Its called control.

If they can own and control they way you behave and the way you think, they own you. Anytime and I mean anytime that anything threatens or opposes the left, they will attack it. If they have no problems to solve that include taking money from hard working people and giving it to socialital failures, if there are no real issues to resolve they will create them, if there is race baiting or class envy warfare to be created they will do so. If there are no politically charged confrontational issue they will create them.

Liberals can take the most innocent and casual of issues and make you believe that the sky is falling, that it will all end as we know it unless you and I let them stay in power, give them money and let them stand as the heroes and champions of the people. If you oppose them, they deem you as evil or an idiot. This gives them all the justification to proceed with their agenda. The lackey leftist media / press and willing dimwitted followers stand behind them and provide the illusion of public support.



I believe that even the lowest of I.Q. are going to eventually put this together. Unfortunately we will all be standing in government bread lines before every one gets their heads out of their a$$es.

A prime example of this control using the press as a weapon would be the Tea Party. There are so very many truly ignorant but not stupid people out there who believe the Tea Party is radical right wing and hell bent to destroy everything. Its all progressive propaganda to discredit and vilify. It has worked with everyone who is factually unaware.
The Left uses the same tactics consistently and its too easy to predict when they are scared of something, hiding or lying about something.

Can anyone come up with a convincing and compelling reason to explain why, at this juncture of America's existence, we even need a president, or a congress?

Seriously, What possible, productive thing can the president ever do? Foreign relations? Fire the President and close the position. If you want diplomacy with foreign nations, send over a hot chick with a boa...America's friend meter would shatter the gauge.

And what does congress do... At this point they write stuff, to explain the other stuff that they now have forgotten why they wrote it... We've pushed the limits of legislative litany... Its time to cease and desist.. We have way more unnecessary laws than we know what to do with. All the laws for the country as a whole have been written. All subsequent laws were created solely to serve special interests and not the interest of our country, over all.
Shut down Congress... and leave it that way for about a decade. I bet ya most Americans would be non the wiser for it..

Please convince me that we need a prez and congress today...
