Wow!!! Rocks out! Sounds like he likes hendrix but it's not a ripoff. Dude is KILLING it! He's local?

That straight makes me want to get my guitar out and wail right this second. Not that I'm in his league or anything. It's just motivating.

yea guys local , and not what we would call tradional blues but this is typical for todays " blues events " . there's alot of " hendrix-ized " classic rock covers done by almost everyone.

You know this is where most people miss the point. His performance is awesome, Guitar playing over the top, Vocals just pushing. I've never heard that song before. If it is original, it is just not his one song that reaches out out and nails you. Thanks for sharing the link. I would have to say I would like to hear more.

yea ,glen one video just sort of scratches the surface.the guy sort of morphs from one tune to another all the while talking to ,heckling and good naturedly prodding the audiance . ea tune set is in the range of 10-15 min & his sets where about an hr & 15 min long .hes quite the entertainer & seems like a very nice guy . he was hosting the thursday jam & since no one knew me I was called last. but what a break for me cause i got to play with him & his band. and I was totally honored when he invited me back to set in for 4 songs on his fri gig at the club. the only kind of sad realization is what the heck is he doing hanging out in the same clubs as me,bad sign of the times

Perhaps it is not so much a " sign of the times " as it is an indication of how small of an envelope of appeal that musical craftsmen have in today's shallow gene pool of consumers.

Let's face it ... what in common does this man and the plastic barbie and her ken doll counterpart have ?

Damned little I'll wager.

You can make noise to in trance the jerry springer masses or you can make music from your soul.

You know Sans you are right, but with this musician, (sorry got to find his name again) he has almost everything going in his favor. Chaeya, my beloved dark secrets friend is even one step closer.

I think that Chaeya is even getting closer because she is bringing in the 5th element. Pure capitalistic marketing. I think I am learning something from what she is trying to do.

Ok, so I am looking to invest money in a rock band, (that would be nuts) (to begin with)
I would want great players.
Great performers.
Great material,(original)
Great team players.
and great marketability. Thats 5 things. Thats not including all the intangibles.
If you can't get past 1, 2 and 4, 3 and 5 don't matter.

Most of the people here can't get past 1 and 2. AND thats not to put them down.... Or make fun of them because they only play bars or whatever. I give them tremendous credit, and they are the real rock stars.

Just trying to lay it out for anyone that has rock star glitter. Put all this together and you may have a shot.

Actually, we could sum up 1-5 very succinctly... (Top Work Ethic + Starvation). That;s all it really takes...all the rest will follow :D
