My wife informed me this morning that some folks I have met while playing in bands over the years. Want to nominate me for a legends thing here in Texas. While I am flattered I am not comfortable with the idea. I think there are much more deserving musicians. Its a local legends thing. While I have been playing in bands here since 1978 I never thought of myself as anything other than a hack that is just trying to get to the next level. They have asked me to put together a bio. What would you do? :?

After putting in 33 years you need to get past humble and go with the flow
because those things usually are about them at some point not you.
You've earned it. It's one night out of your life and you'll be one of a few
probably. Prepare a guitar solo that shows off your skills because that
probably will happen also.[/b]

You don't have to be overly humble, you earned that. Always try to be kind, but when you run into those egotistical, arrogant players, do what you have done, SHOW THEM.

I would do it. It's an honor. Got my blessings.

Do the Bio J.

It's a no brainer from my perspective.

Your not " tooting your own " when you were asked to do it by other parties.

Man! Congrats and go for it! Perhaps ask for some help on the bio from guys you've played with. They will be more likely to tell it like it is. sounds like you won't give yourself enough credit.

Sweeet! 8)

Don't ever turn down PR, no matter how humble you are.

J when ever someone wants to honor you, it me its an insult to not accept it graciously, even thou you think you are a hack, to some in your area you are far more than that, dont let your true fans down man.

By the way Congratulations!

Sounds like you're more respected than you think.
This type of honor doesn't happen to just anyone. Hope you go through with it. Whether you get in or not... some think you belong.
How cool is that! 8)

It is great that you are so humble but they nominated you for a reason
right? That means that they respect you as a musician and who could ask for more than that my friend!
Enjoy the fact that you are being recognized for your gift and passion and
keep on rockin in the free world

Go for it. And make sure you thank them for their support, let them know you couldn't have done it without the people and other musicians wh0o supported you over the years.

You've played almost as long as I have, (50 years here) you earned it, enjoy it but try not to go about it in an egotistical manner. Enjoy the recognition my friend.
