I couldn't finish reading the article. I hope the industry stands together on this and gets it thrown into the trash where it belongs.
Cleveland has had many tough years but there always seem to be clubs for bands to play and hang-out. You use to be able to walk out of one club and hop into another on the same block.
This would be shame on the city where the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame resides.
Vote these assholes out of office that support this crap!

Eh ... this is nothing new.

Fools come n go on a regular basis.

The downtown area of the town I live near fell into most total ruin because it was all locked up by the old money.
Now they are all dead and the revitalization has begun.

Take your stuff someplace else.
When they get tired of desolation, someone with some sense will call y'all back.

a few weeks ago we got shut down at an out door party ( along way from nearest neighbor who was at the party )by a cop with a db meter .The ordinence was for somethig like 90 db & the cop was standing about 2 ft from the "small" pa pointing the thing at the speakers ! I started to explain but then I thought screw it you cant understand anything when you really dont want to. I've spent more nights in jail than I care"d to and another one was not appealing.

They are supposed to stand on the property line of the complaining indivuals property and use the db meter there. Thats the law in most cities down here. That is the only FAIR way. You always have the folks that if they can even hear it, its too loud. If they want absolute silence they need to move to BFE! Barney Fife is about write IMO!

As far as Clevelands proposed ordinance. If you want to create jobs then create a buisiness freindly environment. Vote against the ordinance and vote the politicians out that voted or proposed the ordinance in the first place. Anyone that is so STUPID as to think this is a good idea shoud NOT be in city government! :)

No intrument louder than an unamplified acoustic instrument? No bar or club within 500 feet of another? Who comes up with this crap, and where do I find their phone number?

Gee, I wonder what party he is affiliated with since it isn't easily found in all that is written about him. He's probably an evil tea party guy. :)
