I know, I know they have the right to be there according to the law
but not according to common sence and logic. Roads are built for vehicles
not bicycles. Its bad enough for motorcycles,just ask Kerry but a
bicycle on todays highways is just STUPID. Most dont follow the rules like
vehicles do but want the same rights to the road. They impead traffic.
They have no safety margin and are allowed to occupy side by side the
same lane with a vehicle WTF. Is the DMV INSANE. 3000LBS VERSUS
100LBS. I dont get it Do You? There's always a perfectly good sidewalk
that is UNoccupied right next to them. WTF[/b]

Klug times have changed so much. Good or bad. You are right about the problem, and then compound the problem with a group of bikers riding 5 across and blocking the road at slow mph. Add in impatient drivers and you have recipe for disaster.

None of our roads were ever meant to carry cars and bicycles. Highways are off limits to horses, pedestrians, and slow moving vehicles.

But even local roads can run into trouble with with slow moving town vehicles.

There really is no easy answer when people should be thinking about sharing a resource such as a local road.

Personally I would rather ride a motorcycle over a bicycle, just because I have the possibility of more speed to get out of the way. I don't want a motorcycle. I want a plane with pontoons.

Just because you have the right to do something does not make it an intelligent choice.

Or, Drinking soda does not have the same side effects of alcoholic beverages, this does not make it any safer to drink and drive, you are still stupid enough to kill yourself or someone else all by yourself.

It would be one thing if they did their best to add to the safety of everyone involved, Many bicyclists are also drivers but they become brain dead once they get on a bike... especially when they ride on the wrong side of the street.I can't tell you how many times I was in the process of making a right hand turn only to be met head on with a bike, WTFF. It really scares me.

I'll tell you what chaps my ass to no end...Its these idiots with their frigging cells...while they drive. In one month, I almost got run off the road 4 times. Each one was by some dumb-ass trying to dial somebody or text them.

Anybody who thinks they can drive and work a cell phone just flat out deserves to get sprawled across a highway. I bet the guy that hit Kerry, was on a phone...

In any case , What phone-call is so important that one should abandon control of their car, compromise and jeopardize Life & limb. I mean, How desperate are some people?

Yeah. They don't pay any attention to anyone when they ride in groups. The reason they never see you is that those helmet mirrors are always pointed at their calve muscles.
