"I'll live on,
And I'll be strong
'Cause it's just ain't my cross to bear"
"Well it's hard to be lonely
Feelin' everyone is down on you
And when you find out later on
That they cared so much for you"
"And I need a little something
Just to mellow my days
'Cause I'm getting tired of acting
In life's one act play"

You've had one too many every night and every day
The bartender saw you running half a block away
Leaving the pawn shop with dirty money in your hand
Don't pass go, in jail you're going to land
From Tell Me About the Blues by ME (check my profile tunes)

"it all adds up to zero
two and two don't make four, anymore...
Looking back and countin'...
I never even managed to score."
From "It All Adds up to Zero" - Talbot.
on a lighter note, here is Muddy Waters (IRRC)"Bottle Up and Go"
"Wife killed a chicken,
She thought it was a duck...
Put it on the table with it's leg's stickin' up!"

"Little Lie" (Excerp) by Grant Collinsworth
...Well, my friends told me 'bout
the other night...
You were seen... even though,
ya tried to hide.
There aint no point in even askin' why...
Cause you cant even look me in the eye.
(I guess our love's a little Lie...)
Well, you had me once..
But ya don't get me twice....

Wine and women is all I crave
A big legged woman is
gonna carry me to my grave
Born under a bad sign
I been down since I begin to crawl
If it wasn't for bad luck,
I wouldn't have no luck at all

Dirt is down and heavens up
Just crushin cans, I got no luck
Before the sun came up today
I prayed it all would go away
My eyes are open, I'm underneath
My heart is broken, For all you to see
Take me to the river
Take me to the sea
I'm still standin right here with me
I'm still standin right here with me

the singer & drummer are a married couple that are heavily involved with their son's education & athletic life , with that & no bass players its an up hill battle keeping it going . technically if we could find a bass player it could be revived ,but were all just sort of giging for now. and thanks it was fun.
Curtis Salgado's I'll down load that tonight , your right Bob great tune

In my prison cell I sit
With my britches full of sh*t
My balls are bouncing gently on the floor
You should have seen the bloody nag
When she bit me on the bag
Oh I'll never fck a pollock any more

Mississippi John Hurt's
Candyman
Well all you ladies gather 'round
That good sweet candy man's in town
It's the candy man
It's the candy man
He likes a stick of candy just nine inch long
He sells as fast a hog can chew his corn
All heard what sister Johnson said
She always takes a candy stick to bed
Don't stand close to the candy man
He'll leave a big candy stick in your hand
He sold some candy to sister Bad
The very next day she took all he had
If you try his candy, good friend of mine,
you sure will want it for a long long time
His stick candy don't melt away
It just gets better, so the ladies say
It's the candy man
It's the candy man
