For this performance only, Jeff will be bringing in a special guest from Los Angeles, an ace sessionist and producer Cisco Robles. Cisco is a colorful showman, talented vocalist and adept guitarist with a great repertoire of Hendrix material. For one whole set, the band will be focus on the less trodden and more mellow Hendrix tracks as well as a few faves.
Jeff will also be joined by the Memphis Train line up of Dave Aster on vocals, Ron Pastore on bass, Herman Johnson on sax and Stanley Swann III on drums with special guest Laird Nelson on Hammond organ. Jeff and Memphis Train will play another two sets of in the pocket groove blues / rock / funk for a good fun night of dancing and getting down. Jeff has toured / played with some of rock’s great musicians; Noel Redding and Buddy Miles (Hendrix), Ginger Baker (Cream), Clive Bunker (Tull), Steve Holly (Wings) and many more and recorded in Abbey Road, Sun and other top studios. Come early or book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Jeff Purchon is the owner of Gig-Fx Pedals, and Cisco is endorsed with them. You can see their products here:

Hey that sounds cool! Hopefully he'll stay away from the cliches (Red House, Hey Joe, Fire, etc) and pull out some deep cuts like Ezy Rider, Midnight Lightning or Message to Love.

Yeah well, they are doing Fire, but yeah, there's some very rare gems in the set list.

Geeze Chaeya, how long has this been in the mix? Thats a 6 hour trip you gotta give me more notice. I don't know, very tempting.

Sounds really cool, great, hope they give Laird Nelson on Hammond some time because he's got some real soul in that B3 "Southern Soul" and for C... its a walk in the park for him.

Sorry Glen, I suck. We weren't sure it was gonna happen because everything jumped off at the last second.
Yeah, I wish I could have made it, but I have to stay here with the kiddies.

You'd make a great promotor, if your not already widely known as such. This gig sounds fantastic. Unfortunately, I don't have a plane and it would take me longer to drive than 6 hours. I live in Ohio, but if I had a plane it wouldn't take me 6 hours.

Oh he is. I love my old man, he loves to call me and have me hang on the phone while he carries on conversations with other musicians, talking guitar talk. I feel like I'm standing right next to him, zoning out as usual.

The gig went awesome and Cisco met a lot of cool people. Sadly they didn't get as many people as they'd hoped because there was a blues festival going on the same night - bad planning. But there were 50 people there, I said, heck that's good. It was good for him to get away thought.
I took my daughter to the Sunset Music Festival yesterday so she could see her new favorite band, The Black Veil Brides and Motley Crue. Luckily, my friend's car broke down, so he called in to work, so I gave him my ticket since he really wanted to go. Yay! I had a day hanging out and reading my book in peace and quiet. Walked around Beverly Hills, then Melrose and then read my book until it was time to pick them up. But then my daughter had a migraine and threw up in the back of my car, so I spent three hours cleaning my car out today. So I paid for it. She did have a great time and got to take a couple of pictures with a few of the band members, and chatted with the lead singer. (Sigh) I remember those days.
