According to ABC News poll. I've been there and it is awesome but I can think of 6 other places in MI that are just as nice:
Pictured Rocks in Munising
Tahquamenon Falls
Higgins Lake
Porcupine Mountains
Mackinac City/Island
Harrisville/East Tawas

I find it hard to believe that anything in Michigan compares to what can be found on the west coast. IMO, the most beautiful place in the mainland USA is Yosemite with 7 waterfalls more than 1,000 feet in a canyon of beautiful mountains, forests, and rivers.
Then there is also Glacier Park in Montana, Coure'd Lake Idaho, and on and on and on....

I would guess that more people who participated in the poll have been to Sleeping Bear than Yosemite.

Been in areas in Texas on a cold morning in the wooded river bottoms and the black brush hill country so beautiful I just wanted to stay there forever.
Felt the same way at 11 K foot in the Rockies of Colorado as the snow came down on me like a Texas turd floater.
No place do I hear God's voice clearer than in the beauty of nature.
I believe only a fool could say one was more majestic than the other.
But then what would you expect from a Bible thumping bigot ...

Does anybody really understand the damage the fed reserve has done, unchecked, TO THE AVERAGE AMERICAN CITIZEN. Total TREASON with the last 600 billion dollar devaluation. Bernanke is nothing short of a felon. They put Madoff in for far less.

And you know this how? The news reports of a crazy "preacher" from Florida coming here to try and cause trouble? Actually there are a lot of good ol' boys here whose families moved up from the south to work in the auto plants years ago. We have an interesting mix here, blacks, Arabs, Hispanics and rednecks, you'd fit right in.
