Thanks ...
I wish the audio was better on these videos.

I thought the bass and low end was missing . Seems the hardest thing about playing outside besides the bugs and the heat. We want to add some sub cabs to our PA hoping to help our bottom end .
You all done a great job on all the tunes .

You have enough video to put out your own Woodstock album. Didn't that festival start on this date a few years back? Any way Sans it seems the sound is getting better as the show goes on.
Thanks for sharing and keep rocking on.

If you'll notice the sound varies quite a bit from song to song depending on my position in the song.
If I'm doing accent rhythm, or lead riffage it sounds different than when I'm taking the lead in the melody / rhythm.
Here's the reason.
The video camera positioned positioned back stage is where the sound was being recorded. And it is only picking up the monitor or " stage mix ".
My guitar, because of the loud tube amp, is not patched into the monitors at all. And I vary the volume & soak + / - 1 depending on the requirements of the parts I'm playing.
Ray on the other hand has his amp patched into the monitors so that the only sound it makes on stage is through the monitors.
Eric ( bass ) is through a separate head that feeds the forward facing bass / drum monitors and the mains.
Neither feed into the side fill monitors.
Ray and our friend Luke ( BLAME LUKE TV ) are big on video and are learning the art at a pretty good rate.
( Bonus side effect for having a techno-geek as the front man )
These are really just experimental videos for the sake of video.
We are working on the audio side of the equation.
It may be a while but eventually the audio will come straight off the board.
Then we will begin to involve the other bands whom play with us in our recordings as well. ( with consent of course )

Nice groove Sans. I also like the video work with different angles and blocking. If you want to add top notch live audio to your vids get a Zoom H1. They are easy to use and sound really good for $100. Editing the stereo tracks onto your vids later is pretty simple too.

I have the H2 ... it has proven to be anything but simple ...
Our best home recordings to date have been via the stereo out on our main PA into rays computer.
Logistics & too many irons in the fire have proven difficult.
But we will work it out.
We are ...
tenacious.

Yes even though the H1 and H2 are siblings the H1 is butt simple for live recordings. No stinking menus! You should also be able to get good soundboard mix recordings if everything runs through your board. We typically just run vocals and keys thru the board so it's not a good source for us. I will use the H1 this weekend and see if we get some good full band live tracks. So far I have just used it for quick demos.

Love to hear the results.
Issues for me have been headroom on the recordings and it would seem that a good live venue sound is not necessarily the same as a good mix to the stereo outputs .
But we run a fairly complex system for a small band.
Using two PA heads that are interlinked.
When I get it to sound good out front, it does not necessarily translate to the stereo out.
