Jimmy I got your new CD yesterday, I took it home and rocked out on the porch with my gal to it. It sounds awesome cranked up, for some reason I wanted to Huff Some Gas while listening.
The last song about the kids drowning was pretty interesting to me, the change ups werent really what I would consider punk in nature, so it caught me off guard the little spoken part in the middle.
The drums sound great, the bass is mixed in there just right, when I listened to your RUI stuff, the bass was a little too out front for my taste, but on the Farleys its perfectly in the pocket.
Your guitars sound great, nice double tracking Im assuming on the rythyms, and although you dont play a lot of leads in it, all of them are tasteful in a Chuck Berry sort of way. Great tone that really stands out over the rythyms, and I love that you dont overplay or underplay for that matter, your guitar just fits right in there on those leads. When I listen to music like this ussually Im thinking what could I do to make it sound better, but quite honestly I cant see changing any line of it. Good Job!!!
The lyrics are tongue in cheek, I just have to say I loved it and will play it loud and proud to my friends.
I loved the packaging, thanks for getting it to me so quick.
For any members here I highly recomend getting a copy if for nothing more than to support a long standing member of this community! Its a good ole dose of rauchy rock no roll that should get everyones feet moving. And you will be humming the songs real quick, Hey Hey Hey!
Once again Jimmy, great job!
