MySpace ON CRACK*

I just spoke to a friend. He is upset because My Space just fouled up something awful.

It seems as if they loaded music from another band onto his bands webpage.

I laughed at him a little, I told him to contact my space and they'd help him.
So we took a little time and wrote them asking them to remove the extra music.

THOSE MORONS ACTUALLY WROTE BACK AND ASKED US TO PROVE THAT THE EXTRA MUSIC ISN'T HIS.

I laughed hard over that one and after another short but pointed email, they corrected it.

So I go to my band's webpage...........WTF!

Suddenly, I notice besides the 2 samples I uploaded there is more music.

Actually there are a total of 10 albums, 8 children's music albums and 2 by a band of the same name.

Even Sponge Bob got into the act. lol
I was angry, but one has to laugh a little bit. Just looking at the albums and listening to the tunes is enough to make you giggle a little bit.

I just got finished writing myspace support but knowing them, it will be up for some time because they are both lazy AND slow.

Anyone else see something similar? I still have to laugh a little because they wanted my friend to PROVE that the extra music isn't his.

(I think I'd just take his word for it) lol

Nope.
All the same here. They have mucked up my images, and I cannot find my comments, and my plays are incorrect.
But mostly it's business as usual, as on any other music site.

Well Justin Timberlake just bought them out, so let's see if he can turn things around.

I rarely go to Myspace, I use Facebook, Reverbnation and Sonicbids. The only correspondence I get from Myspace is spam, so I just ignore it.

I'm an Applications developer by day, and I work for one of the largest IT companies in the world..... And I gotta tell ya... MySpace, Face-Book and all the other similar sites (not specialized in any industry) are staffed with quite possibly, the most incompetent developers and designers I have ever witnessed in the 21st century. The sick part ...is that these guys are rolling in revenues that blow through the roof.

I just had a bout with Zynga (mafia Wars/via FB ) support techs.. Two words to describe them: "Useless Idiots". Last year I started flaming the developers on their forum...citing technical mistakes on their parts and they got so pissed at me that they kept dumping my posts and sending me "infraction " notices. Mind you, I used a civil prose, but I guess the truths in conjunction with my sentiments and biases toward their amateur work were too painful to bear...

They recently got the order of the picture albums working correctly like I wanted, newest first but when uploading pictures I have to do it one picture at a time oldest to newest so they will be in the right order first of the show to last pic of the show. At least my videos are ok.

Zuckerberg owns you.

Capt. - Nobody uses myspace anymore. Well, at least no sane people do.

If you are suggesting that I rule and I am mighty, then let it be known... those are your words, not mine... Now bow and pay tribute.

Everybody does Java... You don't have to work for IBM to know that. And BTW, I don't work for IBM.

All Zuckerberg ever owned from me is my Photo bin...

Correction...Not Everybody does Java... Some people are strictly Microsoft Dev (I.e .NET).

SO, why the angst about IBM..just curious?

Ha ha ha.. I think you know the answer to that. For the record... I'm really quite a docile guy... I tend to be a verbal scrapper tho... Usually against people who go out of their way to be insulting or obstinate toward me. (Really no need for them to try to be evil toward me) What they don't get is that I'll listen to just about anything some one wants to tell me..and i'll explore it if they want.. But sometimes, they gotta go in attack mode...That's when the chairs and mugs start flying... ;)
