Just goes to show how easily some folks sabotage themselves... On the other hand, this could have been a media blitz attempt...Gets the band's name out there and a lucrative celebrity book deal at the end of his prison term... Some folks will go that far... I suspect.

This pisses me off. Dumbass! I mean, as hard as we work trying to get our band somewhere, this dude's in a band that's opening for Soundgarden and he gets himself hooked on drugs. WTF! I go bail him out just so I could whoop his ass with my stick then I'd replace him.

LOL.. What am I missing here?? Most successful musicians of the past were ALL hooked on drugs as are the majority now! It's a sad but true fact!

Well at least most of them made it to their gigs, maybe late okay, but MOST of them performed even if they were blitzed. Luckily these guys were able to still perform without him.

Well..lol...if he didn't get caught by po-po, he would've made it on time...and.. Many, many musicians dating all the way back from the 40's missed a gig here and there due to being overly intoxicated by either alcohol or drugs... Right off the bat: Kurt Cobain, Grace Slick, Whitney Houston. umm..can't think of her name...that chick from Britain with the high hair (loved her crack), Believe it or not, Hendrix and many, many others!

I know, but MOST made it to their gigs. That's not to say I wouldn't have kicked their ass for being high, no wait in fact, they wouldn't even be in my band. If I'm in their band, I don't care because I'm getting paid.

I'd care.
Maybe I'm just weird.
The show matters & integrity matters, to me .

Let me explain, George. If you're a famous headliner and you start getting high and acting a fool, I'm gonna finish out the tour, get paid and I'd be done, and I can add it to my resume. Chock it up as a bad run, but in the end I'm going to make sure I come out clean. The point is, I did what I said I was going to do, so I honoured my role.

Got it.
( I'd still be tempted to slap em around some for jeopardizing the tour )

I can't fathom how people play f**k up.
It never makes you better, only makes you worse.
Worse is when you get stuck at a show where you have to watch them be f**k up. (They are amused, but you aren't)
Reminds me of TYPE O NEGATIVE. Poor Peter Steele was all drunk on wine in Germany (I think) and of course they got it on video.
(looked but can't locate it)
