(smack) It's wrong, 9 seconds in and already it's off dramatically.

If you are to copy something, at least get the rhythm figure correct.

If this was an improv event, try something older from him.
You aren't ever going to come up with a better version of what he has already done with this.

Try something more idk like HANG EM HIGH or MEAN STREETS.
If you want something you can improve upon, try PANAMA.

Do get the original rhythm figure though, else it will always sound off.

Sean I like the dynamics of what you are doing, dont worry about Capt Crunch, you are Im sure a far more advanced player than he can ever expect to be.

But, he does make a point there, to me it does sound a little off where you hang the C to B riff, to me you are adding a little extra that doesnt sync well listening.

You really have the basic tone of that song nailed thou, and your solo sections are way beyond what I do with that song.

Keep on Rockin!

LOL Don't break your arm digging in your own ass, JW.

I feel similarly about you, but I don't make it a point to call you out because you try hard and put in the time, regardless of what I think of you person. I know if you played this, you wouldn't butcher it like he did. Go on and deny it! I don't think you can.

Sean,

Try to do something original if you must post your You Tube vids all over this site like anyone gave a crap. You are not now, nor will ever be EVH.

If you ever showed any originality at all, I'd have to compliment you.

I am not trying to find fault but when you beat the sh*t out of EVH tunes, it's hard not to notice and the rhythm figure is the first thing I notice, you buffoon.

Ask someone else, by all means do not take MY word for it.

Im gonna comment once more.

Sean, when you first came to this site I didnt care for your music and didnt much care for your "look at me" attitude toward your music, however since that time I do look at videos you link and can really see you getting better. In spite of attacks by guys like me and Capt Crunch you have stayed the course, stayed true to what you want to do musically, to me it doesnt matter whether its original or cover, as long as someone keeps stepping up to the plate.

In reference to ole Capt Crunch, LOL, since Capt has been here Ive heard one piece of music on his player here and another on myspace. I hear no growth, dont see someone who seems to accept what others say contrary to his thoughts on things. Tends to come around every now and then when he gets bored with some other place he hang outs, gets all of his anger out at whoever he doesnt like then leaves again.

In the end I have way more respect for someone like Sean who is working musically toward some sort of goal.

Capt, yea i could probably play the rythym to this song better than Sean presented it, I dont have the chops to cover his solos, I think he does wonderful in that area. I dont hear any kinda of chops coming from your side of the coin. Between Sean and Capt I would much quicker move aside and let Sean handle the lead duties than I would the Capt.

Just another troll looking for another victim.

If you want to impress me Capt Potato head just record Aint Talkin Bout Love and post it here so you can prove I dont know what Im talking about. I cant imagine you have the kahunas to do that, cause your music is so sacred that noone can get a listen, so prove me wrong.

Sean,
I have been a gigging musician for 40 years. I wish I had 1/2 of what you've got. Keep it coming!

JW,

Just an observation but there does seem to be a direct relationship between a forum posters supportive comments and the quality of the music they put up on their own site.

I know JW. I used to go around with him also back in the day before I left Band Mix for a while. It's not what he says but how he says it. I can't keep myself sometimes from responding.

Sorry to hijack the thread Sean. I've listened to your stuff in the past and you just keep rock'n. good Stuff!

JW, you make it hard not to get personal with you. lol

And yeah my "spaceship" crashed after I just got back from the UK, so go ahead and dig away. lol I don't mind. My setup went south after they wanted to get all Electronica/Dance like.

Maybe you would sacrifice what little integrity you have for $, but I won't. I still am further than you are with your band. To each their own.
I wish you well even though I think you are wasting what talent you may have p-laying covers..

For the record, the only problem I have with Sean is that you can't change a rhythm figure on a well-known tune and expect it to float.

If he was going to copy the "tone factory" of EVH, at least do something new with something they didn't do as well as they could. Maybe the kid has an idea about an EVH song that could improve/improvise upon?

Am I speaking English?

I'll try this once to appeal to your intellect before I start on your obvious shortcomings like we've done in the past.

Oh and I will be in Knoxville, TN shortly maybe we could meet up for a beer?
I thought you were in Missouri for some reason.

And Mike, I don't know who peed in your cornflakes but don't eat em. lol

Edit: Why I remember you now Mike Gentry, you are the original NO SOUL. I now know why you are upset. Aww, I thought you got over yourself long ago. You must have been really burning to hold a grudge this long..

How come the new account? You could have just got rid of the pics and went about your business.

You have a good memory. If we are going to start conversing again Captain I'm going to have to find my old "How To Speak To Dummies for Dummies" book. I'm a little rusty because I haven't found a need to talk to simple minded folk like yourself lately. You missed me didn't you!
