After attending a few extremely lame jam sessions in K.C. in the last few months I've concluded that there must be a genetic transference of American Idol on-the-brain disease. This is now particularly rampant among an increasingly older generation of Americans, most likely due to the discontinuance of the use of Geritol. The body does not have enough energy to transmit to the brain instructions so that it can successfully decode fresh, new ideas in music, thus giving way to the SOS sounds that have now permeated the pop airwaves ad nauseum the last three decades or so. This is increasingly evident in the American Idol copy-cat shows popping up all over the mainstream media, the plethora of tribute bands and the ever-expanding karaoke and cover-only venues that are reducing original bands' exposure to an increasingly smaller and smaller audience. American Idol on-the-brain disease is a virulent form of auditory inhibition that is possibly an alarming trend in genetic engineering...

I like American Idol purely for the train wrecks.

It's also a good way to pick out little quirks you may or may not have.
Then you remove them, like skin cancer as in you cut them out!!!

High revenue, low cost marketing. Nothing more. I didn't realize the Geritol crowd even watched that crap, Bob.

Gee Bob, you read my mind after seeing advertisements for The Voice last night.
