We will be playing at the Cancer Walk in Marshall Texas tonight.
The event will be held at the football stadium, with participants walking in teams all through the night.
We are booked for 04:00.
Temp is supposed to be in the 40's and the wind is blowing like heck out.
As per usual the information is sketchy ... but we have a set ready of some of our heaviest tunes to rock the place.

Wish us luck and warm dreams ... we'll be needing it.

Wished I'd read that before I left

The gig went well. Everyone ( well almost ) was really nice.
( there was this one guy whom was about two words shy of an ass whipping, and all over ... parking ?? )

The DJ / sound man was having some "issues" so we just set up all our equipment to one side of the stage. ( he was a great guy, tiered & cold but still helpful. )
A few minor glitches and a temporary brown out that put a big waver in one of our tunes.

Also I think the amperage issue caused my amp to sound kind of funny.
Over all a good experience, and made some contacts for some future gigs
I LOVE TO PLAY 8)

Sounds like for the most part it worked out okay. I've got a fill-in gig and NOT looking forward to it, however I could use the Franklin. You can buy lots of food at Aldis with a Franklin.

My gig didn't turn out as bad as I thought. Got through it easily and got a Franklin. Stock up at Aldis later today...

Franklin's are cool Bob. Glad the gig went well.

Sorry #1 no one there took pictures this time that I am aware of.

Only Eric's dear wife Candice came along from our crew.
She is almost always there for us. So much so we all miss her presence when she is not around.

She was bundled up so to look like a pile of laundry on a Sunday morning

One young lady said she " recorded us " audio ? video ? I don't know.
To be honest ... I hope it dose not surface.
Not our best effort for sure on a 40 degree 4am gig. :(

I fussed at Tony for saying the same to one of the members of the crowd.
He has yet to learn to be gracious and silent about errors after a gig.

Hope he don't see this ... I might have a fight on my hands

I feel for ya George, We did this big street festival deal a couple of years ago. We started at 6 and went til 8 one long set. By the end of it, the temp was in the mid 30s. Oddly thou, ours went well, they had a huge sound system and one of the helpers was out old soundman so he knew what we wanted and took care fo us.

It was tough on my fingers. I wore this big over coat and and to shed it a couple of songs into the gig. Of course the crown royal helped us thru it.

Got paid well too, so at 10 pm we were playing pool in a local bar that we played in a bunch, next thing we know we wound up playing a set on that bands equipment! LOL
