I had an idea the other day that I thought might be interesting.
I thought has anyone redone classic Standards in an acoustic or
electric guitar theme? Maybe a blend of both would be nice you
know with some very appropriate playing. As I have mentioned
before I am learning other styles of vocals that I feel I can do
well and Standards are one. Also Blues are on my radar. My son
is a guitar player and it might be a good side project for us to
experiment with. He told me the other day that he could download
some recording software on my computer for us to work with when
he visits. That would be nice because maybe I could record also
some shorts like neanderpaul does for the boards entertainment.
Cant let him get all the singing glory  That looping stuff he
does is so cool. Also I would like to recieve music and send vocals
for other peoples songs.
That would really make me happy. :D [/b]

I appreciate your attempt to enlighten me Klug.
But for some reason YT now wants me to enter some "password" before I can view anything.

To the best of my knowledge I don't have a freaking YT password.

And frankly, with my job and all ... I have too many passwords to keep track of now.

AH

Yes I'm familiar with both those artist and their music.

Interesting parallel ... we have been asked back for the second year at a large Independence Day celebration.

The request included that we play some " old time gospel" and some " "patriotic" songs in our mix for the "older" people to be able to identify with.

We, in general, don't do "requests".
In this case.
Being the request comes from a long time supporter of ours.
( and we are being paid )
We'll do our best to honor it.

That's where I'm at with my son. He doesn't play, but he's good with a computer. 8)
