The Violent Torpedo of Truth Sinks in Detroit

So Sheen brought his "show" to Detroit Saturday night and flopped miserably. The sold-out crowd booed him roundly, and now he's in Chicago talking sh*t about the Motor City. See, if you're good there is no better place to play than Detroit, but if you suck, be prepared for boos, bottles and bricks.

Yeah, but they said they cheered him at his second show. What's stupider than that were people who paid to "boo" him. Now, that's a real winner. Did they really expect a "show?"

Booing can be as much or more fun than cheering. Most entertainers rave about the audiences here but if they think you suck get off the stage fast! I remember seeing Blondie get booed off the stage opening for Iggy, I felt sorry for her.

It's all fun and games until someone throws a bottle/beer mug at your head.

Or slugs from a 45 from some angry drunk like in some of the dives musicians in this town played in our early years. We had chicken wire up to protect the band from beer mugs and bottles in some of the classier joints. :)

But hey, "C. Sheen bangs 7 gram rocks"..LOLZ

If I said that, I'd be in jail with no parole for rock and roll..

PS: I am scared of any place that has to hang chicken wire.

It's too much like BOB'S COUNTRY BUNKER and trying to get funds to save the orphanage. Where the hell is Elwood now? (check the bar?)

Chicken wire

In the Marines we had Kick Ass bands that would come to the "E -Club" on base. We wouldn't throw bottles at the stage unless they were good! One band "Castle" probably had bottles thrown at them every night. No chicken wire, but as far as I know no injuries (and the MPs never called). As I recall, they did an excellent rendition of Freebird that everyone was clammering for with one lead guitar. Against all odds they were great!

Poor Charley

Don't mind saying I told you so, But before he started his Torpedos and assholes tour, someone warned me to watch it Charley was his hero. I get it, he's great on 2 1/2 men, but he didn't write that stuff. He only played a part that fit his persona in a laughable manner. Now we're seeing Charley's contribution to comedy.

I don't know, he's doing pretty well everywhere else and his Cooking video I thought was hilarious! He'll be here in NYC this weekend, I'll let you know how it goes
