Heading out the door. This may be my last gig. I dunno. Between the possible new job, the divorce, the continued loss of feeling in my fingers...I'm about ready to hang it up, folks.

Wish me luck.

Send me flowers.

What Glen said.

Do you get the loss of feeling all the time or just when you play? It's possible you have a pinched nerve and a series of chiropractic adjustments can help with that.

Jobs, women, houses, cars, friends - all come and go but music is forever. Get your life together first, and you'll come back to it. Break some legs.

Do you think you are capable of having closure with live music at this point Philby? I know it's hard to walk away from, but I'm sure you've done a lot over the years...probably stuff I still dream of doing.

Hope tonight is a memorable one. Tear it up!

I had the papers delivered exactly one week before my last b'day, Mary. Nice, huh?

The show went okay, I guess. Stage sound sucked. Singer sang consistently flat. We were the last to go on, so almost everyone was gone...

It was kinda depressing, really. We got some good comments, though.

You mean like.

"Boy that singer sure sucks, but it was fun to watch."

or "Man, I'm sure glad is isn't so crowded. I hate big crowds"

"Dude, I waited all night to hear you guys"

Just kidding Philby, response based on your comments. :) :)

Been there done that.

Phil

Dave Mustaine of Megadeth suffered a bizarre nerve damage to his fretting arm and couldn't even make a fist. But it was fixable. took a good bit of physical therapy but it beat the alternative.

Loss of feeling in fingers isn't some "oh well, screw it" kind of event. Think of it more as "Oh rats, an issue." and deal with it - fix it.

For gosh sake don't do what I did when I was bottomed out - got drunk and burned my songbook! I've hit that place several times - lost all my money, woman etc. It passes...

best

I already had the ulna nerve surgery 2-3 yrs ago. They tell me it didn't fix anything, but it kept it from getting worse...except it seems to be getting worse. 3rd & 4th fingers of my left hand are all but useless.

I don't drink to excess or do drugs...maybe I should...then I'd have an excuse to be an asshole...

Aw hell - who needs an excuse anyway?
