I adopted that Eddie Van Halen string technique years ago. I just change em when I break em, LOL.

Im just glad that most of my guitars dont seem to go out of tune much unless there are huge temp changes.

I guess if I had a tech I would change em all the time just to give him or her something to do for thier money. But club gigging just doesnt pay that much so I will just stick to what has worked the last 20 yrs or so.

By the way I dont think Gilbert is anywhere in Satches league, but thats just my personal opinion!
