I wish people would have read this before the last election. They voted these morons back into office because they were too busy blaming Obama for his lack of a miracle cure.

Philby, How can I believe any of that when your article says top tax rates were at 91% until 1963. Do these people do any home work. Top tax rates under Eisenhower administration never broached 35% [50s] Do your home work and please stop posting such f00king trash. People are so gullible.

They really should be called LIE OUT, and write for the National Enquirer.

"Steve Jobs sighted with sickly whore shooting smack in back alley while running APPLE CORP , from a KINDLE."

How far out should I take this????

President Obama Played on the esteemed Curacao premier Shante' course today. While rebels fought and died today, President Obama scored a near perfect game, missing only one hole in one on the 18 green.

When asked why his golf game was so important, the president replied, that some one had to step up and fill Tiger Woods job.

Ridiculous,,,

Um, Glen? I think it means that the top echelon, the "top marginal rate," was paying 91% of the taxes in 1963.

"... the top marginal rate peaked at 94% in 1945. The marginal rate on the wealthiest taxpayers was 91% as late as 1963 and 50% in 1986. For 2011, the top marginal rate is 35% on income over $373,650."

It looks a little different if you read what it actually says, instead of what you read into it.

Actually the highest tax rate came under the leadership of Woodrow Wilson. IT WAS 91 % and almost led us to the great depression right after WW1. W. Harding and C. Coolidge slashed those rates and led us into the roaring 20s. Only to be destroyed by the tax and tax policies of Hoover Followed by the tax and spend policies of Roosevelt. Remember that thing called the great depression. In the end the majority of tax money must come from the masses.

You keep believing all this crap that this truth out org keeps spinning. I keep believing that good American people, like you, will find a way to start believing in something way more important, THEMSELVES.

Taxes are not the problem.

Wasteful unconstitutional spending and laundryman schemes are.

The fix is to whittle away at the waste and theft.

It really is that simple.

You don't have to have any fortitude to be able to operate a guillotine...
