where can I get my songs copy writed for less money

The best way to save is to copyrite them as a works. You can do up to 40 at a time that way.

Wind what he means it put all of your songs together on one cd and send it in as say WindSpirit Works Volume One or something.

That way all the songs on there are copywrited at once. So you are paying for one copywrite on a bunch of songs. As many as you can fit on the cd. Your just paying for one copywrite. If I remember right you need to include a lyric sheet of all the songs.

Really? The rep at the copyright office told me that you could use an unlimited amount of songs, images, and lyrics. Was she just rushing me off the phone, or uninformed?

I'm pretty sure (99%) that it's a limit of 40 per works. I believe the cost is $55 now.

Actually, it's $65 now. If you do it online it's $35. I'm gonna have to call the office again and see if that lady told me the truth, cause I never heard of a fee for an unlimited amount.

Yeah, the fee is stupid. Just last year I think it was $45.

Could be the volume of requests for copyrights has increased.

Hell....everybody with a guitar thinks they're song writers nowadays.
