From my FB page: What a day man! Just recorded a song on thousands of $$ worth of pro equipment, made friends with a great guy and professional musician...etc. Life is good, because you never know what's around the corner...literally! It felt so soothing to play music again, and use technology i could only dream of using. God is good, man.

Ok, I gotta say, not only am i working on music with a great musician, but I made a friend. A new song is almost finished, that I improvised. Three to four tracks of guitar, and the best sounding quality around.

I'm speechless. Things went better for me than they ever have in my life musically. There's things happening, man. I might be recording some more tomorrow, and if not, I'll be working on stuff this week. I can't wait to hear the rough draft that's getting emailed to me. I'll be sure to let you guys hear it when it's done. :)

Thanks everybody! You know what's really a trip? The guy lives in the same neighborhood as my dad. It's unreal. I feel like I'm in a movie or something.

Tomorrow, I start recording bass and guitar for the drummer I just found. He lives about 45 mins away, so he needs to have some stuff down for when we practice...and I get to practice for free. My dad is being cool enough to let me use his dance studio when they're closed at night to jam.

So, I'm very close to being able to say I have a working band. And what a privilege it will be to play some of my songs live, songs I've been tampering with since 2009 even.

What a year its been! I went from having ankle surgery that kept me sitting around alone most of the day, everyday...to getting the cell door to open. Life's a trip, man.

That's good news, just like our winning the first round of the Battle of the Bands tonight. Good things happen to those who WORK hard at their craft. I always have and it ALWAYS pays off sooner or later.

Hey man, there are people on here who remember when I was going through the same kind of thing. I was just about ready to hang things up for a while musically. All of the sudden I ran across this band, and I couldn't be happier.

Good luck. Hope everything works out for you Brian.

Bob, congrats!

That is awesome and strange... just like music should be. Now I need to find a drummer!
