FLOOD the freakin' Craigslist, e-bay, and whatever local magazine ads even if it cost you a little... You would definitely get into a project here within a week or 2... I've always done that and, seriously, I haven't been "bandless" in less than 2 weeks. You've got a gift and could seriously put it to good use with the right people...BE MORE VIGILANT!

I'm lookin' too!

Hi, my name is Ray D'Auria...
I'm a vocalist and am also looking for the right musicians. You can check me out here on Band Mix or at
http://www.myspace.com/stirofechoez
The band on MySpace page (Stir Of Echoes) is the last project I was involved with.
The material on that album deals primarily with rock/classic with some new mixed in with the old. If you would like to hear more just let me know and I can direct you to some of my other projects.
Please answer this post or email me at
oblyone@hotmail.com
Cheers and thanks
Ray

Good vocals Zep. Next time, you oughta start a new post instead of hijacking.
I liked "Shake" and "Sold it All..." Good vocal tone and feel.
How's the music scene in the Oakville, Ontario area????

Sorry, my intension was not to hijack…
This was my first post/interjection here on Band Mix... Just wanted to drop a few quick lines... Next time I will be sure to start a new post.
Thanks for the comments on the tunes it’s appreciated!
The music scene here is nothing like it used to be but if you really want to get out and play there are some decent venues available in and around the Toronto Niagara area. As far as Oakville goes it’s pretty dead.
How are things where you are?

This area has a very lively music scene and the venues cater to blues, bluegrass, country, alternative, all types of rock including Punk and Metal. There are few, if any Jazz clubs.
There has been a scramble of sorts to put together 80's big hair bands and tribute bands.
Keep in mind, that the "Triangle" (Raleigh/Cary/Durham) area has plenty of Colleges, which make for a whole lot of audiences at these night spots.
There is also an underground scene for punk and metal, with private parties going on which advertise through word of mouth (texting). These parties draw large underage drinkers, so they are hit-or-miss. Still a great arena to start and test a band's potential.
And, contrary to what some of the guys here on BM believe, there are a lot of Jam sessions going on. And they are a great avenue for networking and sorting out the good musicians vs the part-time-I-got-a-job-I-got-a-real-life wannabes, without spending tons on studio space or dealing with flakes on CraigsList.
