I was on somebody's Facebook page and clicked on a sponsored link about a diet plan. The next day I got about a half dozen spam inquiries to my email, all about different diet plans. Then I regularly place Craigslist ads for my two businesses. I constantly get spam fake official Craig's List "account cancellation" or "account suspension" notices, as well as spam inquiries asking me if I have sold something that I NEVER advertised in Craigs List to begin with. It never ceases to amaze me how many ripoff artists there are on the internet. Although I don't believe in regulation it would be nice to have some kind of organization that can track down hackers and put them out of their misery...

Facebook has these little ads on the side of their page for you to click on. They're ads pertaining to your similiar interests. Funny thing is, after I read something in my Yahoo email that has a link in it, somehow FB seems to give these somewhat identical pop-ups when I log in. :x What's up with that?

Yeah, bob. I made that mistake once, too. It was shortly after that that I had to erase my hard drive. I dunno if it was that particular ad that did it, though. That's the trouble with the web - it's so hard to pinpoint anything that feeds you a virus.

I don't check out anything anymore. The result of these scams seems to be more of an anti-capitalist thing, in its overall affect, eh?

I do like FB.

Just dont click on the links is the best thing to do.

Unless your a spam junkie, for me I have way more things to do than wade thru all that crap.

Have a Great Weekend!

I love it when I stop in to somene's page, & it has no messages, just fortune cookies & farmville sh*t & "someone loves you" crap all over the page. Doesn't anyone COMMUNICATE anymore?
