Venues no longer around you wished you had played

This is easy for me. One was local, and the other one across the states. The Stone in S.F. and the legendary CBGB. When I was younger I told myself that I had to play those places. Unfortunately, the Stone shut down by the time I found a band, and I never found anyone adventurous enough to want to play out in NY.
Those two places showcased the best bands to ever come out.
The Whisky is still on my list to do's.

There was a great big rock mecca in Northern New Jersey called Joint INN the Woods. All the great rockers in N.J. played there back in the day including Springsteen. It was a legendary venue, burned to the ground (I forget what year) never to be rebuilt.

It's always painful to see the good ones go. As far as CBGB...it wouldn't be the same without Hilly. I wanted to meet that guy really bad too. He's definitely an icon.
