Erasmus and Bosch both satirized the church for it's corruption and scandals, through their writing and artwork back in the 15th century. Imagine that!

Rent The Name of the Rose, starring Sean Connery, Christian Slater, and Ron Perlman. It is a murder mystery movie set in the middle ages, about a book which satirized the church.

Saw it when it first came out, bought the DVD, and put it on for my "Christian" guests all the time.

Too bad you don't play 'em The God Who Wasn't There, Religulous, or Richard Dawkins's The God Delusion. I'm sure they'd never speak to you again.

I prefer to 'convert' rather that 'alienate' at first. After that, if they come back for more.......I let em have it.
