There's a man who was the chief sound tech for UFO on several tours, as well as tours with the likes of Styx, Bad Company, and Maiden.

Now?

He volunteers his time manning the PA at my church.

Same here, but for me the little things in life are larger than life. When you have been on the road for several years doing the big top you will long for the simple things in life. But you have just (got) to go big time and do it for awhile to get the full meaning. "or something like that"

If I were you Dizzizz, I would hit up that man for sound tips any time he seemed available. Not just for live settings, but for recording.

See, that's my problem. I've had a little taste of what it could be like, so I have this unfulfilled desire to start where I left off.

It would be rewarding to get to the point that you're at.
