Stick that in your pipe and smoke it (non-musical post)

Since the wonderful BCS began (NCAA college football bowl rating system farce) the non-automatically BCS qualifying teams that have made it to BCS games are now 5-2 against automatically qualifying BCS teams. TCU beat Wisconsin today to hike the record to 5-2. In past years Boise State beat Oklahoma and Utah beat ALabama. I forget the other two wins. I keep hearing every year about how the "smaller" conferences don't stack up to the "larger" conferences. I think maybe the nay-sayers, including the dumbass President of Ohio State Univ, should STFU. For those who think TCU got "lucky" in beating Wisconsin, I say stick 5-2 in your pipe and smoke it...And by the way the Big 10 went 0-5 in today's bowl games. Hey Mr. Ohio State Univ pres., stick THAT in your pipe and smoke it too...

I prefer a hookah to a pipe. Go Scarlet Knights!

Well everyone made such a big stink about the forum not talking about music. But, things have settled down now and people instead have talked about their vehicles, the usual political/religious debates, and of course...sports. Atari 2600 games are the extent to my interest in sports, honestly. I'm sure that's an unpopular sentiment. But, there it is. I don't like sports.
Oh, well.

Post clearly marked as non musical by originator. As has been the tradition for non musical communications between friends on this site.
Personally I believe there are too many college level teams to ever be able to determine a national championship.
It's like a boxer claiming a world title.
There is probably a skinny kid on a street corner somewhere he's never met that could kick his ass.
How can you claim to be a champion of anything if you've not tested yourself against everybody ??
Simple answer ... you can't.

Speaking of boxing I wonder why Klitschko (reigning heavyweight chamP) gets absolutely NO publicity in this country. The guy hasn't lost a heavyweight fight since 2004 and gets NO press. At one time everybody was wondering who the next Great White Hope would be in boxing. We've had one kicking butt for SEVEN years and nobody gives a crap. WEIRD.

Not heard of him. I'll have to look into that.
He may be outside the influence of the American Mob.
That would do it.

I like the bowl system to a point because every game is your season. Unless you're from the SEC, PAC 10, or Big 12.
Every game is huge.
BUT.
They should make every conference AQ and have a conference championship game.
Winners of that go into a playoff for the national title.
OR...
Take number 1 through number 8 and have a six game playoff.
Game 7 is for the title.
Go Broncos.

I agree. Same with Emellianianko in MMA.. the guy can't be beat but they put Kimbo Slice in a promo 20 times a day... until he gets beat up then handed an obvious gift that severely smashed the UFC's credibility.
I guess if your white AND a Russian you get no play

<- had to

UFC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Mob.
You don't knock out or submit an opponent ... the judges do what they are told.
Sometimes ... I wonder about the athletes themselves.
A submission loss would be an easy " throw away ".
Most of those guys are in phenomenal condition though.
Note what happens when one of them gets a finger in the eye or catches a groin kick.
That is the difference between sport & combat.
