A Very Talented Woman I Know

So I was trying to start a band at work (team-building stuff, ya know). It didn't work out, but I wound up meeting this young woman at a couple of the jams we wound up actually doing. I've seen her perform live and she's very good.

She's moved to Southern California now, so I don't get to see her perform much, but I happened on this youtube video of her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1d87tC_ ... re=related and thought I'd share. It's downtempo, singer/songwriter stuff (which I'm not always a big fan of), but I kinda like this one and I expect great things out of Mira over time.

FWIW: I always like to support the local people that I think are really good. It's a matter of principle for me.

She has a good grasp of lyric, for sure, aiki! Nice, laid back tune.

I like to support local music, too, when I can.

Like to her her do something else.
Perhaps something with more energy.
This just did not grab me as "special".

Well, I have this video of her doing Tik-Tok I took with my phone. But I won't share it because:

1) The recording quality is terrible.
2) That's probably not what you had in mind.
3) She would hunt me down kill me very slowly if she ever found out.

(I will tell you that she "saluted" me when she realized I was recording.)

Yes, well ... we'd better leave that one alone.

She has a pleasing voice.
