I'm sure some of you grew up listenin to Rory and his band Taste like I did. If it weren't for this guy, I would've missed out on a lot of great bluesy rock -- Zeppelin, Jimi, Lynyrd, Stones, Lady Gaga, etc.

Never had the opportunity to see him live but they just released his entire catalogue on iTunes ( http://bit.ly/g6kQaR ) and Amazon ( http://amzn.to/hAGsnl )

There's a lot to choose from but I wanted to share the catalogue and see what you guys think, so lemme know =O

I love Rory, he was the Stevie Ray Vaughn of the late 70s to me.

He was the man, and less popular but maybe more influential than stevie ray.

Did you check out the catalogue?

Saw him at a show very early 80's or late 70's, wall to wall crowd. Didn't know who he was at the time. Quite an interesting show to say the least. Extremely talented player, I can see why he was such a huge influence on other guitarists. Sad to see the great ones disappearing...

Ab I actually have a bunch of bootleg cassettes of Rory in my collection.

the neighborhood where my gf lives is a bar that has a bunch of Rory on the jukebox, so when we go there I always play a lot of his stuff.

No I didnt follow your links, sorry I just dont do that. Ive had to many problems with links having things attached to them and they muddy up my browser.

Bob I wish I had seen him, it seems like he came thru Memphis and played the old Poets Music Hall when I was still a teenager. Wish I had slipped into that one!

It's funny, I've been thinking about him recently. I discovered him in the early eighties. A truly great musician.

I'm always a fan of the great musicians no one that never quite make it to the mainstream. He is a perfect example of why.
