This site deleted 2 of my threads recently.

Well - we all know what an obnoxious name-calling foul-mouthed juvenile trouble maker I am, huh?

There was no anger, no name calling, no addresses posted.
Nothing bad.
These were the threads about finding band mates - remember the 'feast or famine thread,' a few days ago?
I didn't name any other sites.
I did mention going to open mikes.

It seems that - here - it's against the rules to talk about other ways of finding band mates.

It looks like they want us all to think that the ONLY way on earth that it's possible to find band-mates is right here.

What do they think we are: stupid?

I'm getting tired of this meaningless censorship of good, honest discussions about music.

I've had about 7 - 10 of my posts - and dozens and dozens of replies from you guys - deleted by the censors here.

But the anger - provoking threads (God and politics) - they leave those up.

Finally a post with meaning and deserving of discussion.
Your right there quick to take your money for membership and you get
some from that (not much)that's why I didn't renew.
They allow all this dirt and won't allow a guy to bring people together to play music,meet other musicians and have a great time.
They did allow that thread RhythmMan,but probably denied the rest of your post because of fear someone might get together and profit monetarily or profit by way of accomplishing what the site was set up for.
To connect with other musicians,and possibly not needing the site anymore.
Join the chat for free don't renew the membership it's not worth it anymore.

Makes no sense at all. I encourage everyone who reads this to continue bumping it, too. This needs attention. I even went so far as to cantact Bandmix myself, requesting some kind of moderation here on the forums...wasn't blown away by the response. I'll admit to getting caught up in a feud or two lately, and truthfully, I hate it. I don't mind the occasional non-musical thread, but it's completely out of hand. Even threads that start musical end up in a train wreck.

Alan, you're just going to have to use more foul language and post suggestive vids and pics...that seems to be what flies here. It's a shame...this WAS a nice place to "hang out".

I certainly hope that all the good people I've "met" here will help to keep this at the top of the page-hopefully it will get the attention it deserves.

Hey, we're passionate people. We all get a lil overblown occasionally.

I have had music only threads disappear several times in a row as well. No explaining it considering the hateful threads that never get removed.

I am with you RhythmMan. The signal to noise ratio is extremely low right now. Many of the serious players have already moved on, replaced by "My life stinks and it's all [insert lame excuse here] fault, so I am going to dump it on you."

Not really much value in that. People do what they do. We all choose where and how we spend our time.

I agree Hayden. One question though, If somebody chooses BM forum as their personal soapbox to spew all the anger and self hatred they are feeling, and derailing most of the music threads in the process, are we helping them to improve or enabling them to continue acting out by engaging with them? I don't know the answer.

This is TOO true, fellas. I am left to wonder how to get BM to realize this...Is it really worth blowing off a huge chunk of your members (at least the ones that partake in the forum) to make sure that one or two "radicals" get to post whatever they want? It sure seems to me that there are a lot of folks upset about the current situation. Believe me, it wasn't THAT long ago when nearly every thread was musical in nature. Even during some of the heated political/religious/social debates, there seemed to be a common decency line that no one crossed. Name calling? Yes. Insults? Sure. But compared to some of the garbage that's been posted on here recently...well, there is no comparison.

To the point, it sucks.
