The new band I'm in that is. The young men are breathing a giant breath of fresh air into me. I feel like a kid in a candy store again and I believe vice-versa (they feel like a kid in a candy store with me around hopefully). The originals I've been playing for years have a huge infusion of energy. What a nice holiday season (musically) is in store for me...

It's been a long time comin', eh Bob? Glad to hear about your progress.

I saw a video of you a while back. Good, raw, Blues. Do you still have that harp player? I thought he was pretty good.

Dan Jones is the harp player. Him and his wife have their own band, Klear Ambition. He's filled in on a number of gigs with us. He's quite fluent and I intend to use his services on a tune or two next time we head to the studio.

I am awaiting your original material with anticipation of great things Bob.
I am quite enamored with the original music ideals.
Not to be disrespectful of talented musicians whom do covers.
But the inspiration to creation of new " life " is an awesome thing.

The originals we have cover a wide range of styles. I have a few that are really rock and not blues. None of my blues songs are standard 12-bar blues really. There's something exotic in all of them. Doing the three chord blues thing all the time gets boring. I'm already anticipating a wide audience for this band.

A young kid wants to learn how to ice fish and goes to a nearby lake. He asks the first guy who's ice fishing how to do it. The guy says cut a hole in the ice and use a small ice fishing rod and reel and small minnows. Kid asks the guy if he's caught anything yet. "Not today, fish ain't biting yet." He goes to the next guy who shows the kid how to use a tiny metal lure, but he's caught nothing either. The kid sees an ice fishing shack with a bunch of fish scattered around it and knocks on the door. Guy inside says come on in. There's an old man sitting next to a hole with no rod and reel, no tip-up, nothing to catch the fish with apparently. There's even more fish scattered inside the shack. Kid asks the guy how to catch fish through the ice. Old guy says "I've got a secret method, but please don't tell anybody okay?" Kid says he won't tell. The old man says "first cut a hole in the ice and sprinkle peas in the hole." "You mean peas like I eat for dinner sometimes?" asks the kid. "Yes, and when the fish come up to take a pea you kick'em in the ice hole." says the old man.
