That was a good DA song, that album was only about half good though. I like their first record.

Beautiful! Love his playing.

This video just reminded me that I probably should go to school to learn Jazz guitar. I didn't know if I wanted to take up Classical or Jazz, but since I'm really a Jazz fan, it's a no-brainer.

EDIT: Response to the second video: Percolated coffee tastes watered down to me.

Each album was less than its predecessor, kind of like Metallica. :P

MTV video of the year for the year it was released.

And you thought he was just an actor faking a musician on the Monkees...

Funny, I don't remember this song. BIG Zappa influence there on ol' Mike.

Odd that MTV would give this an award because Mike Nesmith created MTV! He later regretted it, though.

BTW Mike and Peter were not faking it as musicians. THEY were real musicians faking it as actors, which is why they had such a beef being on the Monkees with no creative control. Check out the film "Daydream Believers," a really good biopic about the Monkees.

Most really good jazz players are also "classically" trained. If you can find time to do both go for it. I prefer perked coffee. THis commercial brings back a piece of my childhood. My sister and I would dance to the singing percolator song.
