Been jamming with a very young guitarist and we've added another very young sax/keyboard player who studied at a music conservatory. Now we just need a drummer, checking one out tomorrow evening. The music possibilities may be endless, they WANT to do originals AND covers, not just covers but doing creative things with covers. Who knows where it might lead. Hopefully a few months from now they won't be technically light years ahead of me, at least nobody can sing like me.

Actually we did a fair number of gigs last year, not as many as I would like and too many cover tunes. I've been looking for people more interested in originals and recording for many years. Most of us old guys (50 and over) don't seem too interested in recording. I just HAVE to put out a CD. The young guys seem to want to do it more.

Seems so true Bob.

I want to put all of our recordings to video now.

I,m just busting inside wanting to proceed.

Patience is a virtue ... just not one of mine.

Bands are kind of like juggernauts. Parts of the band pull harder than others (you). You just have to be careful you don't pull too hard and split the juggernaut apart...

Get some onstage hulu hoop girls to dance around and maybe the guys will do their part more...haha!

No, really, I would like to know what it was like to only have to do the part expected of me also. But, if you're in a leadership position, I guess you're always going to get stuck doing more.
