I went to a good open mike tonight ('Buttonwood Treehouse,' Middletown).
I'm always looking for a dependable hand percussionist (Djembe, conga, Bongo), and another female back-up vocalist.
.
But - this place was half empty tonight - never seen so few people there.,
Seems that there is a LOT of people sick this week.
.
Also in Saybrook, CT - lots of folks sick there.
.
And, a new lady singer couldn't make a practice w/ me because she was sick, the other day . . .
. . . something going around, here.
.
I'm in CT, btw . . . Connecticut . . .
.
So - ok - how's things in your state?
Has the sickness - whatever it is - reached your state yet?

Steve and I are the only members of our band not sick tonight so we postponed our rehearsal.

I worked the last two days despite a low patient census at the hospital due to nurses being sick.

It's that time of year.

Wash your freaking hands, do not put your hands in your face to rub your eyes or nose, and wash your freaking nasty hands.

%99 of what illness goes around is spread from hands to mucous membranes.

Don't put your hands in your face &

WASH YOUR HANDS !!!

And don't forget to

WASH YOUR HANDS

Yeah lots of sickness everywhere. Looks like some guy killed his three little boys. They found another guy shot in the trunk of a burning car. Now millions of people will lose their unemployment insurance. That should ratchet up the violence a notch. Yep, sickness everywhere.

Yep. Agreed,
But you know I was talking about physical sickness. Viruses and bacteria.
.
I mentioned it because half the crowd was missing, the other night.
.
I wonder how many of the 6 people invited to rehearsal will show, tomorrow?
Unlike Sans, we won't cancel. I'll work with whoever shows, and do what I can to integrate or maybe expand their parts in the songs.
The character of our rehearsals can change quite a bit if some folks don't show.
The less people that show, the greater the learning experience is for them.
Less folks in a band puts a heavier load on everyone else's shoulder.
'Who's here' will decide which songs we practice.

I haven't run into too many sick people at all (Kansas City metro area). We've had a bone dry stretch of Fall weather, that may account for something. I don't plan on getting sick this year. I rarely do get sick. Haven't had a cold since early 90's. I never get headaches, last one in 1980. I have other problems (bad teeth, irritable bowel about four years ago), but I almost never get cold or flu. I consume LOTS of onions and garlic, lots of vitamin C. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I rarely get sick as well Bob.
And I work in one of the filthiest environments imaginable.
I attribute it to two things.
1) Hand washing ( and keeping my hands away from my face )
2) Good genes ... time to go to Wal-Mart and get a new pair.
