I am building up my DVD collection of concerts of just about all types of music. I figured I would ask what your favorites are.
As for myself, Pink Floyd's "Delicate Sound of Thunder" is my favorite concert to watch.

John Legend has a nice DVD from a House of Blues concert. Israel Houghton and New Breed (gospel) also have a BANGIN DVD called "Live from Another Level".

Rush - in Rio and R30
Lightning Bolt - the Power of Salad (and milkshakes)
Minutemen - We Jam Econo
the last two are documentaries, but they are loaded with show footage so i'd say they count.

Since I tend to not buy the mainstream DVDs I don't really see much. I did get a chance to check out one of the G3 DVDs. Satch, Johnson and Vai/Kneally. Pretty amazing playing.

Yeah... I know its probably not as popular... and its quite 80's but Judas Priest's Electric eye video kicks ass..... Its got everything from really old performces vid's to the 1988 concert in Dallas. Very well done, and as always.... Priest plays sensationally live.
My other favorite is Joe Satriani live in San Fran... its a double disc set... and bring your fire extinguisher out... because that baby's on fire.
Satch is just phenominal on guitar and I'm mezmerized eveertime I watch him play. Saw him live in Pompano Beach, Fl. and was NOT disappointed in anyway shape or form. Anyway...... you didnt ask about any of that..... Live in San Fran ..... well worth the money.

Check out Frank Zappa "Baby Snakes" it's just incredible and the drummer is like some kind of primevil drumming monster from the other side of the fence.
