I bought an Epiphone LP Junior for my nephew for his birthday last night. He wanted a video game but I vetoed that. You should have seen his face when he opened it!

Awesome Jim!!! The best gift to give to a kid is a chance at music. Got my first guitar from my uncle too... :D

Sweet gift uncle Jimmy.

I've got an Fender Stratocaster Jr.

Being it's around Christmas time, I think I'll sell her.

She never gets played anymore.

That's a shame.

Best gift you could have bought him! It used to frustrate me when I couldn't pick up my dad's semi-hollowbody I wanted to play so bad.

I got him an electric because it's tough for a nine year old to make chords on an acoustic. Once you build some callouses it's easier to play a hollow body.

Your a good uncle, there is nothing like going back and playing with your nephew someday.
Your so right about the electric,I bought my granddaughter an accoustic
and she gets discouraged because she has not the callouses to chord or pick.
good job.
