Employment?

So I've been hitting a lot of craigslist ads, as well as canvassing my area for work.
I've gotten 2 responses that are kinda fishy, in that they are supposedly from two different co's, yet the form letter they sent me is identical - word for word, save the name of the co.
They both say to go to their home website & fill out a form. I tried that, with the 1st one, but no such site exists. Then I got this 2nd one, identical to the 1st.
I ain't gonna bother looking this 2nd one up, cuz it just looks too fishy to me.
The question is - why would anyone take the time to answer me, & then give me a false/fake URL?
The 2nd question is - would YOU trust this kinda thing?
Even their co names are rather similar - MAT Property Mgmt, & KFE Property Mgmt. A Google search fives nothing for KFE, & nothing useful for MAT.
I think I'll pass.

They could be fishing for personal info ... or they could be employment agents looking for resume.
No .. I would not trust it ...

I was all set to go out canvassing today. I really was! But after the damned time wasted on those crappy co's, I had to go see a sick friend in the hospital. He ain't doing well at all. Internal bleeding & such, on top of cirrosis of the liver. He took a bunch of ibuprofin over the last 3 weeks, since he just got that job at FedEx, & was hurting. He started bleeding internally, & then passed out on Sat. he hasn't eaten anything since Fri, & has been in the hospital since Sat. They're sending him off to Johns Hopkins on Thur, & won't let him leave the hospital til then, cuz they're afraid he'll fall down or pass out again. He looks really bad. I sure hope they can fix my STICK brother.
I'll try again on Thur.
This sucks.

Sorry about your brother, Phil. Sadly, one of the side effects of NSAIDs - Ibuprofin is stomach bleeds, and it was probably aggravated by his other health conditions. I hope he pulls through!
Phil, I can tell you that the Internet is nothing but full of scammers. I was on Monster.com a few years back and the only people I connected with were shady or MLM's.
You can do what our drummer does, he just shows up at construction sites and companies and ask outright if they can use him. He found a pretty decent job and the guys know he's a musician and will let him off when he does tours.

I'm getting to old for the construction biz, quite frankly. I wanna break into doing inspections & assessments. I'm finding that it isn't very easy to do.
I'm gonna go talk to a lady down the street to see how she broke into doing tax assessments, though I REALLY don't wanna go there. But she may have some tips on how I could get into that biz...or even have someone she could refer me to...

from what I've seen, ya don;t need to be a guru to do house inspections...
speaking for the general, $300.00 ones anyway...
ya walk around..poke stuff..shine yer temp laser at the sink...
look for stuff...(granted you SHOULD know what to look for)
but all in all, seems an easy buck if ya can break into it, as you mentioned.
300.00 in 30 minutes & boom yer done!
print out simple report, bind it(if you care)..send it off..

Monday really sucked, all in all. I'd ask for a do-over if I wasn't so scared that it might get worse!
