We're playing the day after T-Day. I'm going to see a friend's band the night before.

Nothing going on at present. And that's fine by me. The Holiday season is best spent in close proximity to family IMO.

Think of all the people, all the exposure. I'd play at the mall on Black Friday anytime.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I was just curious who else was gonna be out that night. We're playing the biggest venue in Erie, but...the bar owner (which I don't care for anyway) decided to throw a punk cover band in with 2 original metal bands. Really don't want to do the show now. Gay as f$ck!

Our wonderful leader turned down an offer (the 5th offer by the band) to do a show with Stemm (national act) closer to home that same night. That's the show that I wanted to do. Not play with some cover band...yuck!!! No offense to cover bands, but I tend to look at original bands as being on a higher level.

The interesting part is that the "Battle of the Bands" is held at this venue in February, but no cover bands are allowed to enter...you have to be ORIGINAL. So why would she want a show like this is beyond me...

I respectfully disagree on the " red " though I don't believe the two, covers & original bands, mix well in the same event.

And the blue ?

You answered your own question right there. :?

Hahaha!!! Awesome Sans!!! That is pretty obvious isn't it? LOL!

As far as my view on the differences between cover bands and original bands...this only comes from my personal experiences. There's people that can copy anything and make it sound really good, but (in my experience) those same people don't have an original bone in their body. No idea how to even start, arrange, phrase, ect., ect. Played in cover bands as a kid, yet always had the yearning to get my own stuff out there. So far so good, but the new band is gonna be really something with the people that I've got involved...Still going to play lead in Crowfeather though.

DJ first three hours and then three hours with our COVER BAND $1,200.00 at the "Bug A Boo"
Too a bar owner its a great package. I do the DJ "Simple No Brainer computer set up" and then party time on the Drums.
What I like about the DJ part is; they let me hook up to the internet. When someone ask for a song I don't have I just download it from Amazon and everyone is happy.

Just so there's no confusion...when I said punk cover band, it meant that they play punk music. But anyway...
