I've been looking for work, & I got a line on a job out at FedEx. Just applied.

They asked me if I'd ever been convicted. I said yeah, a cpl misdemeanors - two traffic violations & a pot possession charge back in '79.

They won't hire me cuzza stuff that happened THIRTY-ONE YEARS AGO!

I remember that event well. There were 5 cops came up to me while I was being processed, & when they found out how much I had, said they'd have just dumped it out & sent me on my way. But not the a$$hole I got. Oh, NO! I got some Dudley Doright jerkwad who had to ruinate me 31 frikken years later.

If it wasn't for bad luck...right?

I'd like to see that guy someday again, to thank him for everything....

Which goes to prove that the drug laws aren't there for the drugs. They're just another tool to control people.

just tell them you may or may not be a U.S. citizen and that you don't have a driver's license. Job in the bag.

I went to CBS temporary services about that long ago to apply for a position they had. They told me that they had a new policy to test for drugs...

My instant reply was "what I do at home on my own time is none o your fukn business, and you can shove that job up your ass"

That is verbatim!

That ran through me like fire and I don't feel any different today.

I keep my home life at home when I'm at work, and you keep your your fukn nose out of my home life when I'm there, or not!!!

I got a friend who just perks up at the very mention of a "drug test."

"SURE!" he says, "I'll test anything you wanna try out on me!"

I'm really sorry for you man...I'm in kinda the same boat workwise....

They cut you loose cause there are so many people looking for anything, they're using anything to weed people out...
