Thanks Hayden.

Looks pretty good, even just printed on card stock. The full page version I did on a high quality photo paper looks great!

The intent is to be able to print one side of the card stock with the outer cover art, and the inner cover text on the other side, at about 118mm sq.
This will leave about 1 - 1.5 mm of boarder to plastic seal the deal yet fit the slim line jewel cases that have an ID of approx 120mm.

I'll have to get some lamination supplies however. My ink jet printer products will bleed if exposed to moisture.

The light engraved CD's Steve is producing look good too.
Unfortunately there have been some audio quality ( skips ) issues. And we've not narrowed down the culprit between the actual disk quality, or audio reproduction issues.

Great idea and very cool fonts but Holy Fu@kin' Sh@t Which one of you is gonna kill me first. Is it required to bring a gun to your shows?

Yeah, motley bunch ain't we.

We intentionally did not smile at the photo shoot in order to
1) Give the appearance of being serious about our mission.
&
2) ( more practical ) To get more uniform shots.

You could not tell by looking but we were LOAO between shots, despite it being quite cold on that roof top that evening.
( that's real skyline behind us )
May also be why we look like stone cold killers, fighting the urge to giggle like school girls.

And well, Tony and I ( the actual Kung Fu contingent ) are both packin, so no need to bring your own.

Nice picture Sans.

It's a miracle Jimmy, told you I have connections.

Photos are a necessary part of any publicity campaign.
People want to see whom they are booking not just hear the music.
It also helps in building a relationship with the audience.
The people who do their research before booking us, don't have to ask
" if we are the band " when we walk into their establishment.
They recognize us.
Then we get "Great ! the BAND is here !!
I much prefer that response.

As far as bookings go, that's what a promo kit is for.
Radio and A&R too.

For records, I think no people photos builds up a mystery factor that can be enticing to the listeners.

Disagree wholeheartedly, it may be enticing to SOME listeners but the MAJORITY of people react more to pictures of people. If you own a business that caters to middle class women you would want a picture in your ad of an attractive, smiling middle class woman. In the case of advertising your band you want a provocative picture of your band, no matter how ugly or intimidating the band members are. (Sans you"re not that ugly or intimidating.) You also want to project an image that's in sync with your band's message. That's why I think Sans' photo is a winner. It's going to project a message just as NKF music projects a message...

Bah... You're marketing the music, or the band as a product. Not the band members as a product.
There are other ways to Brand something. Mascots and symbols come to mind. Even the band name and the font in which it is written.
At least for a first offering I think it's kind of a neat strategy to build a little mystery.
When (or if) it takes off, and subsequent albums are released, then you make with the pictures.

8)
The photo/graphics look good though.

I understand that view point gtZip. It's valid enough. We (despite our internet presence) are in a small local market where the music connection could be ( and I believe is ) subordinate to the people connection.

The EP we are producing will be the cornerstone of our promotional pack, with a full CD to follow. It also serves as a gift to those people whom enjoy our music and have been supportive of the band.
The majority ( if not all ) of our shows have been booked because of the
" I know these guys who have a band " factor.

More and more people identify myself and my bandmates with music.

We played more shows and received more donations in 2010 than in the previous two years.

I have to believe we are on the right track.
The warriors way is to consider fully and act decisively without concern of victory or defeat.
This is what I am doing to the best of my ability.
