LOTS of folks are smarter than me. But, as my common-law-wife says, I "lack the social skills."

When I was given the IQ test, for potential job placement or assistance to get into college, the administrator of the test actually compared me to Matt Damon in "Good Will Hunting." Surprised the hell outta me. I got a 150 score, and I hadn't slept in two days!

He did say that, like Damon in the movie, my emotional state was hindering me from my full potential. I could have told him THAT.

One of the questions was, I think, "Who were your heroes as a child."

Seems like going thru life all the folks I thought we so clever when I met them they really werent that smart at all

Eh, there are a lot of people who I admire...and just as many I will credit for being intelligent...Still, a measurement of who is smarter than whom is pretty much impossible...IQ tests? Dubya had a pretty high score, if I remember correctly-and there were times that he seemed unable to complete a sentence. If you are listing people who you respect, than my list would be very long. A smart list? well, that changes from day to day. On any given day, a seven year old can come up with something that is just brilliant...and yet, everyday, I see doctors and corporate people who are unable to figure out a tray chute in the cafeteria.


Oh, and JW...NOW you have.

Intelligence is like an engine...if you don't put in the required oil and gas it just sits there, regardless of how big it is. In this case education is the fuel and experience the oil. Intelligence must also be exercized or it siezes up. Are you loving these motor references? Hey I live in the Motor City.
