They have created the modern Edsel of guitars. I'll bet it sounds good, but it looks like a nightmare.

When you read about all of the features, it sounds pretty badass. I wouldn't mind trying one out. The overall look of it just looks very "Space Aged" to me. And in an 80's kind of way. Like in a "it's a little late for Flock of Seagulls to be sporting one, but maybe the 80's is cool again" kind of way.

I'm pretty sure this guitar will do ok in the POP sector. I'd expect whoever the guitar player for Lady GaGa is to be sporting one. And who knows, it might actually be a good tool in the studio to have.

Unless they can find a way to use the technology in something a little less gawdy, I don't see it hitting the stage very much in the Rock world. That's just my prediction.

I'll bet you can run it straight into your 'puter, sans, in digital form, although it's an analogue instrument, it has that lil processor thingie in it.

It's got too many bells & whistles. It's junk & its mother dresses it funny.

A little off-topic, but has anyone else noticed Justin Bieber's guitarist plays a Zakk Wylde Custom Epi? What is that?

It has some interesting features, and some useless ones. Looks like they threw every prototype gizmo they had into it. Kind of ugly, but I could live with that if it were practical enough. I doubt I'd spend what they want for it. If one shows up in a pawn shop I might give it a try.

I can't believe Carvin would go "there". I guess they thought they were adapting?

A lot of things on that Gibson are just unnecessary.

Some of the audio / video I have seen of Steve Oliver playing that Carvin Axe is pretty amazing stuff.

Me I just want my guitar to sound like .... well .... a guitar!

First, it should sound like guitar. If you can make sound like a sack of fighting cats, that's even better. :D
