Last night...

I had a very weird dream last night. I was singing a Neil young song, for one thing. That in itself is really odd, cuz I have NEVER sung one of his tunes, cuz I have a strong dislike for his style. But I think I warped the words a bit, too.

The words I was singing went like this:

"Old man, look at my head. I'm a lot like you are."

Is it possible I have those dreaded "follicle fears?"

Have any of you ever had the dream where you're playing with a big name band, and you don't know any of the songs?

I've dreamt about being on stage with KISS, the Eagles and Dream Theater...and each time, everyone is looking at me, waiting for me to play...and getting very angry! Even the songs I know (when I'm awake) won't come out!

Very frustrating dreams, I tell ya.

I have similar dreams where I'm ready to gig and the amps don't work, or somebody's way out of tune. It's very easy to interpret dreams like that, it is essentially your frustration with your current musical situation. You're not happy with current bandmates, project not progressing like you thought, people not rehearsing as much as you. In your dream with a famous act YOU are a member of Kiss and looking at you represent those current bandmates who are not putting forth the effort you are. In a lot of dreams those famous people you dream about are actually YOU. Kind of hard to figure but I did some dream analysis years ago. I once had a room-mate who had recurring nightmares. He went to a psychologist to figure out what his dream meant, never did figure it out. I figured it out in a minute and he never had the nightmare again. Maybe he should have paid me to interpret his dream...

I haven't had any musical dreams in a while. Am I in trouble?

I don't think I've EVER had a good musical dream...they are always about being unprepared (although I have had dreams about partying with John Mellencamp and Paul Stanley-boozing and womanizing, I should say)...I have no idea what those dreams meant...

Don't remember any musical ones but had a seriously weird one Tuesday night about the moon moving closer to Earth and us loosing gravity and all these bar chairs were floating upwards then stopped at the edge of the earths atmosphere and just started bobbing around. Next to them were some futuristic spacecraft flying around. I was watching all this from a window in a tall building and on the ground next to this building was an enormous air bus waiting to load passengers. I remember being annoyed in the dream because I was trying to get my daughter to see what i was seeing but she wasn't interested lol Next thing I saw was the moon in the middle of a field. It was very blue and looked more like earth from a distance but everything was all calm in the field, no deverstation or anything??

The weirdest one I've had in a minute would have to be the one where I dreamed I was walking down this hallway, with like 50 doors. Every door had the same girl (Who I know) showering. So, of course, me being the gentleman I am, I went door to door making sure to leave each one satisfied. I talked to this girl the next day, first thing she says is, "I had a dream you got me pregnant."
