Limewire may be finished

I just got word that the filesharing company Limewire has a court injunction and can no longer operate. Maybe the days of audio theft will be minimalized. I'm surprised that the company even lasted this long!

Maybe now that they've "beaten the pirates", the music conglomerates can start paying artists when they sell music, instead of just for merch and concert tix.

Strange concept, paying someone for making a song....

And the game of Whack-a-mole continues. :P

Limewire may go, but dozens more will take it's place. I don't know anyone still using Limewire anymore anyway. It was full of viruses and dead torrents.

Sesame Goes Gangsta!

Hey Mike, I noticed you had a clip of Killdozer on your profile. I love that band! I'm surprised somebody even remembers those guys. I used to write the vocalist.

Hi Bob!
Hi there!
How are you?
I'm fine, thank you.

I interviewed them when I wrote for a local music paper, the "f**k You, We Quit" tour I think. I still get some comments by Michael Gerald on Facebook (not that he's likely to remember me).

Don't forget the porn disguised as awesome concert videos....

When I download "Neil Peart sits in with The Who" I don't want "Ass Bandits 7". That's the main reason I quit using Limewire in favor of TPB and transmission.

Yeah, that guy was hard to stay in touch with, he moves too much. I would love to read that interview if you have it.

I can live with the porn. You can find some pretty f**k up sh*t on torrents. But, mis-labeled files I WILL NOT STAND FOR!

LOL the claymation!

Those guys moved all over the place. Dan Hobson lives in LA and works in movies now, effects I think. He worked on Live Free or Die Hard. But, the band still intermittently plays, since the Touch & Go anniversary reunion.

Any printed copy of the interviews has gotta be buried under tons of junk. The tape would be easier to find. I keep 'em in a big suitcase beside me.

Transferring tapes to mp3 is a real pain in the ass, though. It'd be easier to just dub you a copy and mail it.
