that's new?

Have you counted all these shameless plugs? Cmon, work on something for awhile and then come back. We've been hearing the same formula executed time and time again.

I could only get through about a minute of it...where's the vocals? where's the hooks? You got to get somebody's attention NOW. Get to WORK now....

Just ignore him. I've tried to be nice, and I've been an a$$hole. He won't take the hint. Watch any of his vids (except this one) and you can see the smug look on his face. His ego reaches throught he screen and slaps you in the mouth...and the saddest part is that it's completely unearned.

This track is not new...you've posted it before, and you didn't even bother to fix the same timing and rythym issues that we all pointed out the first time. Seriously, dude, come off your high horse. You should be ashamed to try and promote this stuff here. Some of the guys here (and I am not necessarily inlcuding myself in this, but) smoke you so bad it's pathetic. It's like Keanu Reeves trying to give acting lessons to Sir Laurence Olivier.

Oh and yeah...Happy Halloween.

He plays better than MOST of you do. He lives in an isolated area in Canada, and is trying to attract bandmates or some other benefical attention. He posts like once a week... NOT excessive by any means, and in fact, I just checked, and you see ONE POST from him on the front page of the Forum. He posts once a week, so that there will be ONE POST from him on the front page, in case any potential bandmates in Canada see it.

It's just unecessary to attack someone for the SAME THING, every time he makes a simple post. Especially BY OTHER MUSICIANS! Wasn't it "ME" that was accussed of running people off of here, simply because I posted a thread on religion or poltics sometimes? Well, you guys are TRASHING A MUSICIAN on a MUSICIAN CONNECTING site, MERELY BECAUSE HE POSTS A VIDEO *ONCE A WEEK* of him playing a song!

What is going on IN YOUR OWN LIVES, that you feel you need to ATTACK a FELLOW MUSICIAN, simply for posting a VIDEO LINK once a week?

To see the SAME ARGUMENT for gee... YEARS now? What's the point? Everyone is STUCK then... He's not changing your minds, and you aren't changing his mind. NO ONE IS PROGRESSING in that scenario, so...

Best to drop it isn't it?

Why waste the energy and effort on something that has not been swayed one way or the other, over.... YEARS!!??

I respect what you're saying Craig. However, you have to realize that he posted the vid on a public forum, and I responded to it. And I'll continue to do so in this manner.
He has every right to post-and I'm sure he's on this site to find other musicians, just like the rest of us.
That being said...

ANYONE posting a vid of themselves with their name in the title followed by WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! better bring the goods. And no, he doesn't.

Hell, I'm trying to help him! How is he going to attract bandmates by doing nothing other than post a vid of himself with a big sh!t-eating grin, play off-time? It's obvious that thinks he's incredible, so why not HELP him by giving him a dose of reality?
Sean, buddy, you're method isn't working. Try posting something else (just a suggestion). Try actually being part of the forum, rather than posting vids and trying to show us all how good you THINK you are.

The dude keeps posting, I'm sure he fully expects responses and if some people think there's little merit to these videos then so be it. I've responded both positively and negatively to his posts as I see it. This one was lame, at least for as long as I could stand listening to it. I wish he posted FULL songs, inclluding vocals and everything. The guy has talent, it's a shame he has to keep posting these mainly noodling videos by himself.

Anyone need a bandaid? lol

I get that, but... Is it working? Is he being helped?

I didn't watch it.

I saw comments, so that made me look at the thread.

But it ended up being the same things said.

I have to wonder if you guys aren't giving him MORE views and listens, then if you just stopped commenting. You know? Naively, I keep thinking that if there are comments, someone cared enough about what he did to say so. But it never turns out that way.

I get your point, Craig, as I will demonstrate by NOT replying to the post that Sean has put up specifically for me.

BTW, it's his take on SRV's "Caught in the Crossfire". His timing is better, overall performance is good, even has less of a smug look on his face than usual.
That being said, it's a re-post...I've seen it before. He responded to my criticism about only posting vids by posting another vid...


And now, back to ignore mode.
