I don't know how to put the link on this but you need to go on Youtube and type in Freddie King Help Me Through the Day. I believe it might be the original version and has Leon RUssell playing piano on it. The Freddie King solo on that cut is searing genius. Whittington does a good job with it but it pales to Freddie King.

Mechanically great playing. Gets kind of repetitive. I assume vocals preceeded the solo. If so it would have been nice to include the entire song. They need to hide that bass player in a box, he was painful to watch, and he plays the exact same bass-line over and over and over. Nice to vary it once in a while....

Wow, J. You sure are on a Dave Mason kick lately  . That's okay, though. Good music, and someone that I definitely need to listen to more. I agree about the bass player, though. I'm glad that he's into what he's doing (much of what he's playing is pretty mundane), but it's a little distracting...If I was Dave, I'd be sending him to the other side of the stage!!

"Get away from me, dude! Can't you see I'm trying to tear it up here?"

That bass player kind of reminded me of an organ grinder's sidekick...

Some friends of mine opened for Dave and Robby years ago when they were in town and they walked into the dressing room to say hi and caught them both with something in their arms......I'll let you guess what it was.

But I've always been a huge Dave Mason fan. Especially since"Alone Together" One of the best ablums of the 70's IMO.

Thanks for helping me remember that......
